GPSBaseNet - An Initiative of J.D. Barnes Limited
In February 2004 J.D. Barnes Limited will launch a new inititiative called GPSBaseNet. This initiative will be a subscription service that supplies real time GPS corrections from our network of GPS bases installed throughout the golden horseshoe. The corrections are relayed via the internet to roving GPS subscribers equipped with a 1x RTT modem. This modem allows remote users to connect to the internet using the cellular telephone network infrastructure.

This will allow subscribers, appropriately equiped, to achieve survey accuracies at very long distances from the base station.

This subscription service will be available as a monthly subscription and charges will be based on usage time.
