2010 MARKS THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF J.D. BARNES LIMITED!
Fifty years ago, John D. Barnes purchased the assets of Herbert L. Coons, O.L.S.. Since that time, J.D. Barnes Limited has grown to be the leading Surveying and Mapping firm in the country. During 2010, there will be events commemorating the company’s illustrious history and the contributions of its staff to the success of the firm. A detailed account tracking the milestones of the firm from its beginning as Herbert L. Coons Surveying soon after the Second World War, and up to the anniversary date of October 1, 2010, will be presented during the year. This golden anniversary is quite an accomplishment when one considers how few firms remain in business over a 50-year period. The fact that the firm is healthy and has grown to its current complement of 200+ staff shows the dedication of those employees who have contributed to the success of J.D. Barnes Limited.
