Assistant Manager (Thunder Bay) |
|
The Assistant Manager will be required to manage field crews and CAD operators in cadastral, geodetic and construction survey environments. Candidates should possess a thorough knowledge of CAD systems - preferably MicroStation - and a good understanding of Total Station and Data Collector technology. Working knowledge of Global Positioning Systems is an asset and superior communication skills are essential.
Candidates should possessing a Bachelors' Degree in Survey Science or the equivalent and either be a licensed Cadastral Ontario Land Surveyor or be working towards their OLS designation. Applicants should exhibit skills which provide them with the ability to supervise field and office staff working in a team environment to meet client needs in the land development and building industries. Candidates must be able to estimate project costs, meet with clients and oversee large projects from inception to completion. There may be occasions where out of town travel is required, depending on the demands of the project.

Ontario Land Surveyor (Toronto) |

This position involves preparing and checking legal and topographic and engineering surveys, engineering and construction layouts, staff supervision, client consultation, and other related duties as required. The successful candidate must be a Licensed Cadastral Ontario Land Surveyor, possess a good knowledge of survey adjustments, Fieldplus, Microstation, and the processing of subdivision, housing and topographical surveys.
Applicants must have strong supervision and project management skills in order to successfully oversee field and CAD staff, manage large projects and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills for meeting and corresponding with clients are also required, as well as a detail oriented approach for preparation of job estimates, tracking job costs and invoice preparation. Finally, a good understanding of Total Station and Data Collector technology and a working knowledge of CAD (Microstation and AutoCAD) and Global Positioning Systems are required. |
